A Tribute to the Life of Pius Hart
December 2, 1927 – May 25, 2014

The Montgomery Ruritan Club would like to honor one of it’s dedicated Members Pius Hart who passed away on May 25 of this year. Pius was a long time member of the Montgomery Ruritan Club and worked at many functions for the club. He was honored with the Clubs Service Award in September of 2011.

We offer our condolences to his wife June (Mullen) Hart, whom he married June 26, 1954; two sons, Raymond Hart and Dennis Hart, both of Cannelburg; two daughters, Sharon “Hart” Gates of Bloomington, and Kathy Hart of Fishers and three Grand Children. Dennis his son is also very active in the Montgomery Ruritan Club having served as President, Board of Directors and Turkey Trot Chairman. Pius was an active Member of All Saint’s Catholic Church in Cannelburg and St. Vincent DePaul at St. Peter’s Parish. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a retired rural postal carrier for 30 years and a farmer.

The Montgomery Ruritan Club is truly grateful to Pius for all his efforts over the many years he served. He will always be remembered and will truly be missed. May God Grant Him His Eternal Reward.
