A Tribute to the Life of Bernard “Bernie” Duncheon
May 23, 1925 – June 8, 2015

The Montgomery Ruritan Club would like to honor the Memory of one of it’s dedicated Members in Bernie Duncheon who passed away on June 8 of 2015. Bernard Duncheon was one of the 29 original charter members who founded the Montgomery Ruritan Club in December of 1960. His passing leaves just three of the original 29 charter members that are still living and still active.

He was the recipient of the Club’s “Distinguished Community Service Award” in 1998. Bernie, as he was known to his friends was a continuous club member for 55 years until the time of his passing in June of 2015. Bernie was also a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Montgomery and St. Peter Holy Name Society. He was married to Anna Fern “Gallagher” and she preceded him in death in 1999. We extend our condolences to his children Marie, Gina, Tony, Donna, Anita.

The Montgomery Ruritan Club is truly grateful to Bernie for all his many years of service to the Club and to the Community. He will always be remembered and May God Grant Him His Eternal Reward
