Horse Pull Winners at Montgomery Turkey Trot
Pictured above is the winning team at the Montgomery Turkey Trot Horse Pulls this past Saturday which was moved to the Dinky Center on the Odon/Cannelburg Road because of the wet track at the Turkey Trot Grounds. The winning team which was Yoder and Hatfield was presented a check along with a horse blanket from the Montgomery Turkey Trot for placing first in the Saturday’s competition. Making the presentation was Travis Wagler (Extreme Left) representing Graber Posts Buildings and Gary Wagler (Extreme Right) representing the Horse Pull Committee? Winners of the Montgomery Turkey Trot 5K Run
Pictured above are the winners of the Montgomery Turkey Trot 5K Run from this past Saturday. Shown here is (L-R) Walter Hendrickson who placed 2nd with a time of 19:18, Bryan Smith who came in 3rd Place with time of 21:44 and the winner was Atlee Lambright with a time of 18:18. Top Three Finishers in the 2016 Turkey Races

Close Finish at the Championship Turkey Race
Pictured above is Dalton Knepp as he and his Turkey cross the finish line just one second ahead of Justin Knepp in the Championship Turkey Race on Sunday of the Turkey Trot. Dalton Knepp finished with a time of 12 seconds while Justin Knepp finished with a time of 13 seconds. Placing third was Janae Graber.
Dalton Knepp is 2016 Turkey Trot Racing Champion
Pictured above is Dalton Knepp as he receives the Championship Trophy from Montgomery Ruritan Turkey Trot Chairman Dewayne Shake following the Championship Race on Sunday afternoon at the Montgomery Turkey Trot. Dalton Knepp is the son of Keith and Stephanie Knepp of Montgomery and is a 6th Grader at Barr-Reeve and is a repeat winner as he was the 2015 winner and was runner-up in 2014. Dalton’s turkey (Maverick-2) sprinted across the finish line at a time of 12 seconds just one second ahead of Austin Knepp who finished in 2nd place and Janae Graber who finished in 3rd place in a very competitive race. Demo Winners at the Montgomery Turkey Trot

Shown here is (L-R) Tim Showalter, Track Co-Chairman, third Place was Kaleb Bratton from Loogootee, Vaughn Graber Track Co-Chairman, Second Place Luke Worland from Monroe City, Track Co-Chairman Leo Barley Jr. and first place winner was Travor Jones from Washington. Duncheon & Miller Receive Ruritan Club “Distinguished Service Awards” for 2016
Pictured, left to right, Tony Duncheon, DeWayne Shake, Curt Miller. Prior to the Saturday night Mark Chesnutt Show at the Montgomery Turkey Trot Festival. The Montgomery Ruritan Club presented its Distinguished Community Service Awards for 2016 to two long time club members Tony Duncheon and Curt Miller. Duncheon served as Club Vice-President in 1997 and Club President in 1998. Miller has also served as Club Vice-President in 2010 and Club President in 2011. Both recipients have contributed to club and community activities in a variety of ways through the years. DeWayne Shake in his 12th year as Turkey Trot Festival Chairman made the presentations.
