The Starter for the Turkey Races, Albert Kavanaugh (back to the Camera) give the final instructions to the turkey racers in the first race on Thursday Night on the Track. There was over 65 racers who battled for the Championship crown this year which was won by Logan Knepp.

As you can see in this picture it was a very close finish in the Championship Turkey Race on Sunday afternoon at the Turkey Trot. As You can see here Logan Knepp finished just one second ahead of second place finisher Dalton Knepp and in third place was Claire Kemp. Over 65 Jockeys battled for the title for the Championship Crown in this year’s Turkey Races.

Pictured above are Logan Knepp (Left) as he is being presented the Championship Trophy at the Turkey Trot on Sunday as he emerged the winner with a time of 15.5 second. Logan Knepp is in the 8th Grade at Barr-Reeve and his parents are Kevin and Treva Knepp. Knepp was presented the Championship Trophy by a Representative of the Festival Committee Louis Kavanaugh Jr. Knepp crossed the finish line just one second ahead of second place finisher Dalton Knepp and in third place was Claire Kemp.

Pictured above are Galen Graber (left) and Joe Rademacher (right) after they were presented the 2014 Service Award on stage at the Turkey Trot prior to the Aaron Tippen Show on Saturday Night. Both individuals have served in various capacities as an officer and Board Member for the Ruritan Club and the Turkey Trot Festival Committee. Both men were working at the festival prior to the presentation and were pulled away from the jobs long enough to accept the award.
